A family in Kakamega County are crying out to President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene so that their kin, Stephen Wekesa, who was arrested in South Sudan is released. The family said that they have not received any correspondence from him since his arrest.''My brother has been working for the last 11 years in Juba for various companies and we have never heard of anything unusual... We are pleading with the government to help us know what is happening with my brother in Juba,'' Bernard Wekesa, his younger brother, told the Daily Nation.Friends of Stephen Wekesa told the family that he had left for the airport to catch a flight to Nairobi. Before reaching the airport, he was reportedly arrested by people claiming to be from the ''National Police'' according to Stephen's colleagues. Last week, Kenyans who had been held behind bars in South Sudan returned to Kenya following President Uhuru's intervention.
