A family in Rongai sub-county of Nakuru county crying for justice following the mysterious death of the relative in mysterious way.
The body of the 32-year-old man was found dead a day after he was reportedly picked up by two administration police officers in Rongai.
A post mortem conducted on Friday showed it had multiple injuries.
Nakuru county government pathologist Dr. Titus Ngulungu who conducted the post mortem said the injuries was on head, legs and hands.
“The evidence will be presented before the court in an ongoing case involving the driver of the vehicle that is said to have been used to carry the deceased,” Ngulungu said.
Joel Mbuthia was picked up by the duo from her sister’s home on February 25 only for his body to be found lying in a pool of blood at Eldama Ravine junction along Nakuru-Mogotio road the following day.
He was buried before a post-mortem was conducted but a court ordered body exhumed for the report.
His relatives have raised questions on how their kin left police hands only to be found.
Bernard Nderitu said the body had slight burns, cuts on the head and a fractured lower left limb.
He said that some of his brothers with whom they had a disagreement over land were opposed to a post-mortem exercise being conducted on his body.
While welcoming the move to examine the body Mbuthia’s sister Monicah Ngonyo said that she is optimistic justice will prevail once the evidence is tabled in court.
A neighbor Waithaka Munguya said that police must have been responsible for the brutal murder and were now trying to make a cover up.
He said that cases of members of the public being harassed by police were on the rise in the area.
