A family in Kikuyu is looking for their son, Peter Kinyanjui, 9, who got lost over four weeks ago while going home after attending a church service.
According to the boy's father, Josphat Maina, his son Kinyanjui never came back home after church on Sunday as expected.
Maina described his son as dumb and deaf, obedient and humble.
The mother, Elizabeth Wabuku pleaded with anyone who came across a boy who could not hear or speak to report to the nearest police station.
“We have reported the loss of our son at the Kikuyu police station, and when reports of his whereabouts are made in other stations in the country, the report will get to us,” said Wabuku.
She added that whenever the son went anywhere, even to church, he would come home alone.
“We are greatly saddened that for a month now we still do not know where our son is. We have looked for him everywhere, even called our relatives and friends but still we have no positive reports,” said Wabuku.
However, a hopeful Maina said they would not give up in the search for their son.
“I believe my son is safe and well and it is just a matter of time before we find him,” said Maina.
