Football legend Thierry Henry is coming to Nairobi.

The star will be touching ground on December 16 to grace an event at Impala Grounds along Ngong Road.

The event dubbed Guinness Fan Zone will attract sports lovers from far and wide.

To prepare for the Nairobi experience, Henry has began honing his Kiswahili skills and was quoted speaking the language flawlessly.

"Mahindi Choma, piga mpira na kichwa. Huyu jamaa ni hatari kwa kupiga mpira na kichwa," he said in a video.

In his day, Henry was named in the UEFA Team of the Year five times.

He steered the France national team to success and won with them the 1998 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2000 and 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.

In October 2007, he also surpassed Michel Platini's record and became the country's top goalscorer of all time.
