Former Parliament Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim has accused a senior Jubilee MP of planning violence in Garissa County.
Maalim, who is eyeing the Garissa Township MP seat said the United Republican Party allied MP intends to incite and hire youth to disrupt the oncoming voter registration exercise.
"A senior Jubilee Party MP incites and hires unemployed youth to unleash violence on fellow citizens in Garissa during registration of voters and on voting day," he posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday.
"The MP [has been heard] calling for the eviction of the Kamba and other non-locals in Garissa."
He said he will do all at his disposal to stop the eviction of no-residents in Garissa town.
Maalim mid-2016 announced he will run for the Garissa Township MP seat currently held by Parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale.
The two have fiercely been criticising each other with Maalim questioning the development record of Mr Duale.
Duale is expected to defend his MP seat in 2017.
