While reacting to claims by Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo that the body has failed to address extra judicial killings in Kisumu, Farah noted that while IPOA has the goodwill in bringing rogue police officers to book, they were under constant frustrations by the government who are not happy over how they carry out their duty.
"I must admit that the IPOA has been doing a very good job in as far as addressing extra judicial killings are cincerned. However these people are seriously underfunded and greatly sabotaged by a government that is not impressed by the work. The government must now change tact and embrace this body," he said.
The two were speaking during a breakfast show on NTV AM Live breakfast show where Nyongo claimed that police killed innocent civilians who were protesting the outcome of the August 8 polls and the IPOA is yet to take action over the incident.
