Maalim has said Raila Odinga has been treating their party as if it were their personal property.

"Namwamba should not have been subjected to humiliation. Raila should stand up and clean the mess that is rampant in the house,'’ he said.

Maalim who is publicly perceived as Raila’s wing man in Northern Kenya accused the party leader of disregarding party structures, a fact that has since led to the resignation of Namwamba and the exit of Paul Otuoma from the party.

The politician's sentiments came even as the Cord party downplayed the imminent mass exit of elected leaders from various regions as it prepares to address Namwamba’s exit.

It is now clear that the opposition coalition has to up its game even as the Ipsos latest poll revealed that Uhuru Kenyatta's popularity has sharply shot up from 47 percent to 68 percent.
