Mwingi North MP John Munuve, a rebel Wiper MP has said that former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Farah Maalim is not a perfect politician to replace Kitui Senator David Musila, following his resignation as Wiper Chairman.
“Farah Maalim is not a replacement for Musila” he said as quoted by the star. The legislator also said that alliance should show Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka the door following the departure of Musila and recent fallout with Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama, ahead of the forthcoming general polls.
“If I were Raila, I would remove Kalonzo. What is he bringing to the table? Its like having a brand new bus without an engine and the gearbox. The driver was Musila and the makanga (conductor) was Muthama. Without them there is nothing,” Munuve said.
The differences between Muthama and Kalonzo has sparked mixed responses from politicians alligned to both Jubilee and National Super Alliance (NASA).
The senator has, however maintained that he will rally the electorate behind both Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga and his Deputy Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as they seek to rise to power.
Maalim is set to lock horns with National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale in August.
