"All this issue about negotiated democracy is in bad taste became it is challenging the very doctrine on which democracy is founded. The electorate should be let to make their own decisions," he said.

A group of elders drawn mainly from the Garre clan have taken it upon themselves to select leaders to contest for the fortcoming August polls in a move they belive will have all clans have a taste of leadership.
