Farmers in Uasin Gishu are decrying heavy rains in the region which have hampered maize harvesting and caused heavy losses.
There has been an unprecedented level of rains attributed to changes in weather patterns as a result of global warming.
Scientists have blamed the depletion of the Ozone layer as a result of toxic emissions from industries and motor vehicles thus creating unpredictable weather patterns in the region.
A farmer from Kipkeino area in Uasin Gishu, Samoei Cheruiyot, lamented the numerous challenges they have gone through as farmers.
