According to KCC Eldoret Managing Director Nixon Sigey, the government has released the money awaiting disbursement to farmers.

"The national government has given KCC Sh500 million which will be used to offset debts that we owe farmers," he said.

Speaking in Eldoret town on Wednesday,  Sigey said farmers will be paid by October this year and they will be smiling all the way to the bank.

"In a move to improve our services we have set aside Sh400 million to support modernization and purchase of state of the art machines that will increase processing of milk and Sh300 million for strategic food reserve," he said.
