A study by Ohio State University and University of Texas researchers shows that eating fast food may lead to lower student test scores in math, science and reading.
Fast foods generally lack nutrients that are significant to the development of a child's immune system adding only calories which increases obesity. Did you know that you are at a high risk of getting high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes and asthma?
A British study showed that kids who ate primarily processed food diets at age three had lower IQ scores at age 8.5. Nutrients essential for growth and strength like iron, calcium and vitamin C are absent in fast foods.
Researchers find that food served at fast-food restaurants cause mental difficulties that result in lower test scores. Alternatively, when a child is obese and always sickly it means they are out of school frequently to be in the hospital.
This means that their concentration in their school work is low therefore drifting from studies and entering into their own cocoon of sorrow and self-pity.
Therefore this explains that nutritional deficiencies at an early stage in your child’s life can also lead to deficits in brain function that puts the child at risk of behavioural problems from hyperactivity to aggression.
If this then is not enough reason to be attentive to your child’s eating habits, then I know not how to convince otherwise.
