A teenager from Kegati Location in Kisii County is fighting for his life at Kisii Referral Hospital from panga cuts he sustained from his father on Monday evening.
It’s alleged that Ogito Obae, the child’s father, attacked him using a panga following marital conflict between him and his wife.
According to the area Chief William Ombasa who also condemned the act terming it wild, has confirmed that the suspect is apprehended at Kegati Police Station waiting to be taken to court.
Meanwhile, the chief said the police have launched investigations to establish the cause of the incident.
On the other hand, Ombasa has told area residents to use alternative ways of solving family conflicts instead of engaging in violence.
“I condemn the act and urge any differing couples, family members to find alternative ways of solving conflicts instead of engaging in violence whose consequences are regrettable,” said Chief Ombasa.
He confirmed that police have launched investigations to know the exact cause of the incident.
The boy was initially taken to Keumbu Sub-Distict Hospital before being referred to Kisii Referral Hospital.
