A 30-year-old man from Kiabereria Village in Molo constituency, Nakuru County, on Monday night burnt himself and his two children to death in his house following a domestic quarrel.
It is reported that Jackson Njogu and his wife had been feuding prior to the incident and that the two had quarrelled before the Monday incident occurred.
“They have been having a troubled marriage that led to their separation some weeks ago," said John Kiplagat, a neighbour.
Njogu is said to have locked himself and the two children in the house before setting it ablaze where his two children aged two and seven years, alongside Mr Njogu, died during the 11 pm incident.
According to OCPD Paul Cheruiyot, nothing was salvaged from the house as efforts by police and neighbours to put out the fire bore no fruit.
Police said the man’s wife have been arrested and is assisting with investigations.
The bodies were taken to the Molo Sub-County Hospital mortuary.
