A father to one of the eight people among them six university students who died in a grisly road accident on the Kisii-Kilgoris road has termed the loss ‘unimaginable’.
Ms Dorothy Nyakerario died alongside five other colleagues and she was laid to rest on Friday in an emotional ceremony at their rural home at Nyachichi in Nyamira County.
And Mr Charles Stima, who avoided speaking in public on Friday has gone on air for the first time terming the death of his daughter 'unimaginable' and insisted that it still ‘looks like a dream’.
“I got the news from her brother Kevin stima who had seen a picture circulating in social media. I didn’t believe until I saw her being buried on Friday. It it’s unimaginable and I am yet to ponder the reality of the loss,” he said.
“She was a hardworking lady who used to work hard to get school fee for her education. I never knew how she did it till her death we I saw friends from all walks of life. She was so close to me and I never knew she had friends of that kind,” he added.
He also lauded the contribution from his daughter's friends among them radio personality Jalang’o of Radio Maisha and a renowned musician Mr Bloom.
“I know death is inevitable but this one seems like a dream. I want to thank her friends who helped me for burial arrangements. She was destined for greatness given the kind of friends she had already created a good rapport with,” he said.
