They have now extended the search to the Lake Nakuru National park.

His father, Simon Langat lamented that since the incident happened on Sunday, there has been little help from county government and area leaders in the search.

A former area Councillor, Christopher Maritim, echoed the concern saying slow pace in disaster management response from the Nakuru county government is worrying.

Maritim said no officer from the county government has visited the scene apart from a team of fire brigade which said divers are needed.

The residents are calling upon Lake Nakuru management to allow them access the lake in a bid to search for the body  with reports that the body might have been swept to the lake.

Langat called upon the county government to construct safe bridges above river Ndarugu to ensure safety of users.
