Garissa Women Representative aspirant Fatuma Kinsi has received a prestigious award dubbed 'Global With And For Girls Award' in recognition of her efforts in the Pastoralist Girls' Initiative (PGI).
Kinsi, who was feted in London, disclosed that the award came at a time when her Garissa County need her most.
The new political entrant now says the award has motivated her even more in serving Garissa residents, hinting that her major objective will be a commitment to bettering the lives of her pastoralist community.
Kinsi is one of the many female politicians from the North Eastern county who have since expressed intention to unseat the serving women rep Shukran Gure.
Other beauty queens who have since shown interest in Gure's current political space include Ms Amina Keynan, Shamu na vijana, Europe Ebla and Maryan Sheikh.
However, with the rising number of aspirants, it is highly speculated that the incumbent will have an added advantage as compared to the new entrants.
