Residents of the sprawling Kihoto slum in Naivasha are now living in fears following marauding stray dogs on a biting spree.
Within a period of one month, four people have been bitten by the stray dogs.
Confirming the incident, sub-county veterinary officer Miriam Nakeel said a vaccination exercise has commenced.
It emerged that there were 5000 dogs wandering in the open in Naivasha especially in the slum areas.
According to Wangari from the Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW), at least 200 dogs are being targeted in the free vaccination.
