Fears have gripped Jubilee and its supporters that Chief Justice David Maraga might stop the repeat presidential poll set for Thursday.

This is after Maraga certified a case seeking to stop the poll as urgent.

The CJ directed the petitioners— a Mr Khalef Khalifa, Mr Samuel Mohochi and Mr Gacheke Gachuhi— to file their submissions by Tuesday 6pm.

He also directed that the respondents— IEBC and presidential candidates— to file their responses and submissions by Wednesday morning.

He said the case will be heard on Wednesday at 10.00 am. This is despite the fact that the government has gazetted Wednesday as a public holiday.

Mr Khalef Khalifa, Mr Samuel Mohochi and Mr Gacheke Gachuhi moved to the apex court arguing that the current environment in the country cannot guarantee a credible poll.

"This is dangerous now. It seems there is a well choreographed plot by NASA working in cahoots with the judiciary," a Jubilee MP said.

Jubilee supporters on social media expressed similar sentiments saying Maraga's decision tomorrow is what Raila had told his supporters to expect.

"The judgment tomorrow by Maraga is what Raila had told his supporters about a major announce. We are not fools, we know what you (NASA) is cooking," Jeff Car-Mau posted online.
