There is tension among Kenyans with questionable college degrees as the fate of their certificates remains unknown.
This is after the Education ministry said it would recall the degrees if any anomalies are discovered.
The Commission for University Education (CUE) will be releasing results of an audit it conducted on academic papers these universities have been awarding its students.
The audit was ordered by Education CS Fred Matiang'i after details emerged that some universities may have been awarding degrees to undeserving individuals.
Among the anomalies is admision of underqualified students into the programmes without considering required minimum qualifications.
Also, the axe will fall on those universities that have been issuing those degrees.
