Naivasha DCC Isaac Masinde said the Standard Gauge Railway and Olkaria geothermal exploration are some of the key projects expected to employ hundreds of Kenyans.

Speaking during a sensitization meeting on HIV/AIDS and disability mainstreaming for Ministry of Interior staff in his office, Mr Masinde attributed the concern to the growing employees working at the mega projects.

“We are looking at new ways to help curb the increase of HIV/AIDS here now that we have so many people coming to work in Naivasha,” said Masinde.

“The two highways that also cut across the lake side town could be an avenue for the spread and we want to sensitize our people on how to stay safe from vices that may lead to infections,” he added.
