A female Administration Police (AP) officer in Rarieda sub-county is nursing severe injuries after she was allegedly roughed up by a male colleague.
It is alleged that Dorcas Adhiambo, stationed at Misori police post, was assaulted by a male colleague, Abdi Dagame.
The two officers deferred in an argument over a suspect who had escaped from a police cell.
Narrating the incident, Adhiambo said she requested a P3 form after treatment and reported the same at Aram police station.
She had arrested a fraud suspect who was later on released by police officers at Ndigwa AP camp under unclear circumstances, she said.
The fight broke when Digame was asked about the suspect's whereabouts.
Adhiambo said that her colleague, who allegedly roughed her up before attempting to shoot her with a gun, injured her on the stomach.
According to a source privy to the matter, the accused officer declined to report to Aram police station after he was issued with summon by the area sub-county AP commander, Maurice Katami.
