Two nominated female MCAs from Suna West Rongo constituency exchanged blows on Thursday at an assembly over a pending impeachment motion against Governor Okoth Obado.
The two leaders were arguing over the proposed motion to remove Okoth Obado from office when they attacked each other.
The acting speaker, Boaz Okoth, said the two fought over the impeachment motion "which is just still a rumour" as it is yet to be officially tabled at the assembly.
In a press briefing, that was held last month, 12 MCAs bitterly complained alleging money allocated for ward bursaries has been distributed discriminatively whereas funds meant for other development projects have been embezzled.
The MCAs said out of the 40 wards in the County, only 28 had received their allocations while the other 12 are yet to get anything.
The MCAs led by the ward rep for Macalder Kanyarwanda, Erick Gogo and the deputy majority leader had warned “of next cause of action” if the governor did address their grievances.
