Jerusha said current MCAs and MPs in Nyamira County have been engaging women unlike in the past.

“These days we have many women being appointed to be representatives of MCAs and MPs in Nyamira. It is through such appointments we will have more women joining active politics and leadership in this country,” she noted.

Jerusha asked Nyamira County women to stop hiding in villages and come out to compete with men to seek elective posts in future.

“I wish to urge women to come out in large numbers to join me in seeking elective posts in 2022. What men can do these days women are also able to do because we all go to same schools to get education. Men should not bar their wives with intentions join politics,” she noted.

She promised to allocate Affirmative funds to help disabled, women and youths start small businesses in the county to earn a living.
