Law enforcers in Mombasa have arrested a woman suspected to have links with Somalia-based al-Shabaab group.Police said the woman was planning attacks in the Coastal town.Amida Awadh was arrested during an early morning raid in her home at Kibokoni, Old Town.She is 30 years old.Police also said she has links with one of the country’s most wanted terror suspect Abdulqadir Omar.Awadh’s family has since protested her arrest saying she doesn’t have any links to al-Shabaab.“My sister is very innocent. She has nothing to do with terrorism and in fact she is ailing,” said Fathiya Mbara, a sister as quoted by The Star.Regional police commander Larry Kieng said the suspect is cooperating with investigators as she is being interrogated.
