There is a fierce battle between business owners and hawkers in Eastleigh going on today on Saturday, October 29th.
The hawkers, who were recently evicted from doing their business along the roads, were allegedly trying to force their way back into the area.
The businessmen would not allow and this caused a stand-off, with one trader injured so far.
It's alleged that after close to three hours of running and stone-throwing, the police finally arrived to calm the situation.
Police officers have used teargas canisters to disperse the warring sides, but unconfirmed reports indicate that gun-shots have been heard.
This has caused a huge traffic snarl, with the Eastleigh-plying matatus dumped by their drivers and obstructing Tom Mboya Street and Moi Avenue.
