After posting a controversial video that has since gone viral online eliciting mixed reactions, popular comedian Eric Omondi at least has a defender in Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo.
The video where the veteran in the laugh industry is pictured swimming with minors naked has attracted the wrath of the Ezekiel Mutua-led Kenya Film Classifications Board, which has warned advertisers against promoting it.
But while defending the beleaguered comedian, Odhiambo said that people have overreacted and that there is nothing wrong in the video to warrant such condemnation.
"It looks like my mind is wired weirdly. Eric Omondi jumps into the lake or river naked, and there is a storm. So was he supposed to jump in wearing a suit? It is silly but guess what, the whole country is silly. I only wish though that it was a protest jump against the many police killings of young people," she posted on her Facebook page.
While breaking his silence over the video on Thursday, Omondi said that he had no intention to offend anybody.
