Kisii MCAs have been advised to make use of the assembly in fighting corruption to ease the work of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

Addressing the MCAs on Monday at a Kisii Hotel during sensitisation organised by the EACC on how the public and state offices can fight corruption, John Agali, the EACC educational officer from Kisumu said they can effectively use the assembly to fight graft in the county before it reaches the commission.

Agali said the MCAs have a big role to play in the county in regards to fighting corruption by and challenged them to intensify in the fight against the vice.

“You have a big role to play in fighting corruption so you need to strengthen your force against the vice and put measures on how to gift it,” Said Agali.

“We need to have even one MCA who can stand and campaign against graft since one can make a change in society by leading through example,” he added.

He also advised them to avoid involving themselves in any form of corruption.
