his wife whom they have born three children with is Robai Noor Abdille. she leaves at Kotulo in Wajir. His accomplice is Daud Ahmed Mohamed also from Kotulo and his cousin Abdirashid Ibrahim Osman.

Saleh said that the al Shabaab attacks in the area are being carried out and led by Kenyan youths known to the community. “I am now instructing my chiefs from the area to produce these al Shabaab elements.

unless they produce them they will continue harassing Kenyans and attacking other soft targets including government facilities,” said Saleh.

Saleh regretted that the three yesterday were spotted in the area and even had supper in one of the houses within the village before caring out the attack and disappearing into the darkness.

“I would like to tell wananchi in those areas to work closely with security apparatus by volunteering information because it is only by doing that the officers will be able to act on time,” said Saleh.

Saleh said a contingent of a team of security officers led by KDF were combing the area up to the border to look for the suspects who are believed to be within the area.

“The operation will continue until and when those guys are apprehended and brought to book.we are optimistic about getting results in the next 24 hours,” said Saleh.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the three victims have been flown to Nairobi where they're next of kin will be notified.

The county AP  commandant Mohamed Sheikh led a team of county security team to the area while another security from Khorot Harar  AP camp was also said to be pursuing the militants from the border.

Area MP Rashid Kassim speaking to the press in Wajir town before joining the security operation team confirmed that indeed 4 people had been killed by the militants.

He said there was an urgent need to reinforce police posts especially those on the border because they are vulnerable to the militant attacks.

“As leaders we have time and again appealed to the government to think of adding and equipping security personnel stationed at the borderline this makes it impossible for the militants to outnumber them in the vent of ambush and attacks,” he said.

The incident comes just a day after four people were seriously injured after two pastoralist families living in Wajir East clashed over water and pasture. The four area nursing panga cuts at various hospitals in Wajir town.
