Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho made his first public appearance after two months.
Joho made his last public appearance on February 23, 2018 when he attended the National Governing Council Meeting (NGC) for the Orange Democratic Movement at Orange House in Nairobi.
On April 19, he made the first public appearance when he attended the wedding of his close friend, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba.
Kiba married Amina Khalef, a girl from Kongowea, Mombasa, at the Masjid Ummul Kulthum mosque at 7:30am.
The governor has been away in Estonia, Spain and France for investor meetings and conferences according to his communication team.
Critics however slammed him over his frequent foreign trips, saying it was time for him to seat down with his electorates and provide them with development since devolution took resources, services closer to the counties.
Earlier, the County Communications Director Richard Chacha said Joho would skip Kiba's wedding due to the Global Water summit in Paris, France.
