Dr William Kingi has handed over the certificate of appointment and the trophy of recognition to the rightful owner, his boss, Governor Hassan Ali Joho.

Joho was appointed the Co-President of the 21st Century Maritime Cooperation Committee on May 17.

The Mombasa Deputy Governor received the certificate on his behalf at the 1st General meeting of the 21st Century Maritime Cooperation Committee in Fuzhou City, China.

Jpho received his appointment with much joy and humility and vowed to serve the committee diligently. 

"With this new responsibility we believe that he shall be able to put Mombasa at the global stage as a competitive destination for Maritime solutions and expertise," said Kingi who congratulated his boss on his new job on Thursday.
