Controversial lawyer and socio-political commentator Miguna Miguna finally weighed in on rumours that he suffered an Asthma attack while behind bars.

He rejected claims that he suffered from the condition which causes its victim to develop breathing difficulties.

''I sat down on the ground for two days. When you lay on the ground it is probably very cold. I think I had pneumonia, it was an onset. That is what I needed medical attention for. But Asthma, no. I have never had Asthma, luckily. I am not a drinker or a smoker so those issues don't arise,'' Miguna said.

Miguna was deported from Kenya by the country's immigration department in spite of a court order to have him presented in a Nairobi court.

He was speaking yesterday upon his arrival in Canada where he vowed to fight on for electoral reforms in Kenya and pursue the agenda of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
