Finally, Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo had the opportunity to weigh in on the controversial nomination of Miguna Miguna as the Deputy Governor of Nairobi by Governor Mike Sonko.
Speaking on prime television on Wednesday, the outspoken MP said that the nomination was wrong as Miguna Miguna would not take advise from anyone as he thought that he was smarter than everybody else.
'His choice of Miguna, I think it was wrong. I am happy that Miguna refused to take up. Miguna is a very brilliant legal mind but unfortunately, Miguna thinks he is the only brilliant legal mind,'' Millie said.
She said that the Sonko-Miguna combination would be disastrous for the city as it would be difficult for the two to work together.
The County of Nairobi is in a state of flux following the dramatic resignation of former deputy governor Polycarp Igathe.
Sonko had nominated Miguna as Igathe's replacement triggering a lot of controversies.
