After a long wait, The National Super Alliance (NASA) technical committee has settled on two options of identifying who will take on Jubilee’s President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Opposition coalition has until April 15 to name its presidential candidate, according to Kenya’s elections law.
Raila Odinga of ODM, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper are all seeking the ticket.
The technical committee held a meeting on Monday and agreed that the four principals will have to agree among themselves on who will fly the NASA flag or constitute an Electoral College to name a flag bearer.
A source privy to the talks disclosed that the Electoral College will be formed by a select team of members from the four NASA parties, if the four principals fail to agree among themselves on how to line up ahead of August polls.
"The four can have a meeting even tomorrow and come out and tell Kenyans who among them is the presidential candidate and running mate. They have other leaders' and supporters' backing," the source said. Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama said they will name a flag bearer by the end of March, nine days from today.

He also said that the NASA rally which was to take place on Wednesday has been pushed to Friday.
"Raila is returning tonight (Monday) from the US. We want to give him time to rest. We also realise that Friday is ideal because it will not interfere with our supporters' work schedules," the Senator was quoted by the Standard.
