Kisii County Finance Executive John Momanyi has said that he will ensure money is well utilised in the next five years.
He said that he will ensure funds meant for development are not misappropriated.
"As long as I am in office I will ensure that no single cent is channelled towards doing ghost projects," he said.
He bragged of his long experience in the finance sector saying that he will use it to benefit the locals.
Mr Momanyi said that he will ensure that all the projects fronted by ward representatives are well investigated before funding takes place.
"No one can comprimise my job because I was appointed to serve the people and not a few individuals," he said.
He said that anytime a citizen doubted that he was misusing funds they were free to report him to the Ethics and Anti-corruption commission.
The former KCB Kisii branch boss also asked ward reps to award tenders to qualified contractors.
"They should help us ensure that we get rid of rogue contractors. That way the people will benefit," he said.
