The Abagusii community has the most interesting and funny naming system.
When analysing how they name their children it is humbling to note that they name them after places like Ogetii, Nyanchera, Onchera, Kemunto, Bitutu, Kerubo, Mbera and Makori among others.
As if that is not enough the Omogusii further use plants to name her offspring. In this bracket, you will find names such as Moraa, Omete, Motembe, Nyachae, and Nyakwaga.
Names of animals also find space in the Abagusii nomenclature for example Simba, Gesimba, Basweti, Onchiri, Nyambeche, Onsusu, Guto, Nyangau, and Magondi among others.
Other are even named after furniture, you will find one named Bisieri, Ogete, Nyabicha, Omesa and even Morangwa.
It gets, even more, interesting to note that Omogusii welcomes other tribes since she also names her offspring using other tribes.
For instance, one is called Monandi, Mosiria, Mogikoyo, Mogere, Mokamba, Momanyi, Mosigisi, and Moragori. Don't be surprised that she has even globalised her naming system. You will find characters name from overseas tribes such as Mosongo, Mosota, and Moindi.
