Among the many benefits is the commonly known prevention of dehydration. As big as a watermelon might be, it will surprise you to know that the fruit is actually more than 91 percent water in components. It is therefore a tasty way to help you stay hydrated and avoid dehydration on a hot day.

But here are the few sexual benefits of the fruit cam vegetable that you didn't know about:

1. Helps against erectile dysfunction

The watermelon fruit contains citrulline, which is converted into a precursor to nitric oxide known as  L-arginine.

L-arginine help to relax your blood vessels, including those that supply blood to the penis and thus curbs erectile dysfunction.

Research has proved that citrulline supplementation improves erection hardness in men with mild erectile dysfunction. This is why the watermelon is otherwise called 'the natural viagra'.

2. Prevents high blood pressure.

As the L-arginine facilitates the relaxation of blood vessels and keeping them open for blood flow,  this state of relaxation helps in lowering blood pressure.

3. The fruit also contains a variety of other important nutrients which include:

Vitamin B6, Vitamin C,  Vitamin AA,  Potassium and Magnesium.

One good thing is that the fruit is all over the place. Hawkers now vend it through the streets of Kibera and you have no excuse of not using it.
