Teachers, parents and all stakeholders have been advised to work together in order to boost the education sector in in the country.
Robinson Otwori, former Nyambaria High School principal has said that there are many challenges facing the education sector, and once they will be addressed, there will be tremendous change in the sector.
According to him, there were many challenges that he faced in his 35-year service in the sector, and such needs need to be addressed by teachers, parents and all stakeholders in general.
Otwori said that the major challenge in schools is the inadequate teachers, lack of support from the government, lack of cooperation from parents, hostility of the sarrounding community to teachers, incompetence of people guiding schools among others.
“The way our schools are being governed in terms of sponsorship has really affected the education and the results in our schools, we need to come up with a better structure on how to manage our schools," added Otwori.
