Kisii town is the fastest growing in the County since devolution took place.
It is now 4 years since the County Government took charge, enhanced development more so in Kisii town which has witnessed a tremendous change that has attracted many investors.
According to the research done by the writer on Monday, Kisii town is the fastest growing town in Nyanza region.
Some of the achievements that have made the town grow is the 24 hours economy policy and leaders from the region have been fighting hard more so during demonstrations to make sure that demonstrators do not destroy properties.
Unlike Kisumu where demonstrators have been destroying properties during demos in Kisii, things are different here people conduct themselves peacefully during demonstrations.
Another reason is the unity exhibited by the region's leaders when it comes to matters development.
Since Governor James Ongwae got into power he has never been criticised by leaders in terms of improving the town more so when he installed solar lights in the town.
The town has attracted more investors as the county government of Kisii is looking for more investors.
According to the information from the office of the Governor, they have plans of building a new city.
Kisii town is also expected to shine more as the National Government is planning to establish the Central Bank in the county.
Daraja Mbili market which brings many communities together has also made the town grow.
