The High Court is today set to determine the fate of Nairobi governor Mike Sonko in office.

The court will make an important decision regarding whether the petition filed to challenge Sonko's win will proceed or not.

All eyes are on presiding judge Msagha Mbogholi who will rule on the application by Sonko seeking that the court strikes out the petition on grounds that it is fatally defective.

After the August 8 elections win, Sonko was petitioned by two voters Japheth Muroko and Zacheus Okoth on grounds the election was marred by massive electoral irregularities and illegalities.
