More than 20 families were left homeless in Kibera after a fire razed down their property.
The fire broke out on Saturday night at the Soweto Village in Kibera.
According to the area chief, Joseph Songa, the incident took place at 10 p.m.
“For now, it is hard to tell what really caused the fire, although there is a high chance that the fire was caused by an electric fault,” said Songa.
There were no lives lost during the incident, however, the poor state of the road in the area led to firefighters getting to the location late causing a huge loss of property.
The victims have now appealed to the government to come to their aid.
