According to the headteacher of the school James Talam, the fire started while students were in class for their evening preps.

Speaking to the press at the school on Thursday, Talam said they suspect the fire could have been caused by an electric fault.

No student was injured in the incident that led to the loss of property worth Sh3 million.

"As the school administration, we are looking into this matter so that we can get at the bottom it but as at now we suspect the fire was caused by an electric fault," noted Talam.

"We are also reaching out to stakeholders to see to it how the welfare of the affected students can be taken care of," he added.

Well wishers among them Kesses MP Jubilee party nominee Dr Swarup Mishra however stepped to relieve the students from the unfortunate incident by buying them beddings and learning materials.
