Former Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura has been a marked man in the lake side county amid claims that he is a Jubilee sympathizer in the region.
The allegations came to haunt him in his quest to defend his seat as he lost in the ODM nominations in 2017.
The firebrand politician tried to defend his seat as an independent candidate, but that was not enough to endear himself to the people who had already vowed to send him home.
The controversial politician would later make a comeback when President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him to the government and was handed the newly-created Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of East Africa Affairs.
The appointment made him even more unpopular especially at a time when NASA leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta were deadlocked in a political stalemate.
However, Friday last week, Uhuru and Raila shocked everyone when they pledged to end their political feud and work together for the sake of the country's unity.
To Obura, he has been vindicated as he has finally shed off the Jubilee mole tag that had been haunting him since 2014 and put his own political career on the edge.
Going into 2022 elections, the vocal politician is the man to watch.
