There are no operations ongoing at the depot despite that it is receiving maize from farmers in the region.
The depot is the major lifeline for most farmers in the North Rift region.
It has experienced two fire incidents in the last one week which destroyed two driers.
Newton Terer, the managing director on Monday speaking at the depot said the operations at the depot have been affected by the fires.
“We have not been able to do anything at the depot after the fires broke and destroyed some machines,” he said.
He said the machines affected are old ones which were bought over 30 years ago.
