Innovators in mobile technologies have been asked to actively bring up solutions aimed at aiding to achieve success in various campaigns in social-economic development matters.
First Lady Margaret Kenyatta said this when she launched the Beyond Zero maternal and child health campaign at Nyamaiya Stadium in Nyamira County.
The first lady handed a mobile clinic fully equipped with equipment for execution of maternal healthcare services to the County Government of Nyamira.
She cited health, education, farming and disaster management as key areas that required interventions through modern technologies which she said will be more effective.
Such campaigns she noted will be properly executed in vernacular languages which according to her are more consumable with deeper understanding among locals of the many counties across the country.
For instance, the first lady observed that the mobile clinic which was donated by Wemmsey Charitable Organisation International will be of great importance to the people if such technology will be used in relaying messages on emergency cases by residents and healthcare providers.
The first lady praised a number of initiatives that have been undertaken by the county to improve the health of locals in Nyamira.
"I encourage the county government to explore other avenues to have exchange programs with other counties in order to have diverse knowledge on provision of services to the people," said Mrs Kenyatta.
The event was also attended by 14 wives of various governors from across the country.
