First Lady Margaret Kenyatta today hosted #BeyondZero partners for a special summit which provided a platform for leaders to reflect on the achievements and missed opportunities on maternal, neonatal, child and adolescents health targets with a view of enabling them re-assess their obligations and reaffirm their commitments to support the country in attaining relevant health targets.
The summit also sought to take stock of progress, challenges, gaps and opportunities for leaders to support the acceleration of the elimination of mother to child HIV transmission, promotion of maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health commitments in Kenya, to recognize groups and organizations for their efforts in working towards eMTCT, maternal newborn, child and adolescent health targets and to review the latest evidence on child development and effective interventions in reaching the Sustainable Development goals (SDGS), improving child outcomes, strengthening families and preparing for Generation 2030.
