Speaking on Thursday when she officially presided over the official opening of Magura secondary school, Margaret said party politics will derail development in Nyamira.

"It is worrying that Nyamira politicians are not ready to serve the electorates fully. It is time elected leaders and those who lost the various political seats during the last year's polls to unite and offer quality service delivery to the people," she said.

She asked those eyeing various political seats especially the governor seat to stop early campaigns to allow the current governor to serve the people.

"The current Governor (John Nyagarama) may panic because some people have started early campaigns to succeed him.

"It too early to talk about 2022 succession yet we have four years to go before we start talking of 2022 politics. Let us give the current leaders who are in office to serve the electorates to realize development in the county," she added.

She denied that she is interested to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta who will retire in 2022 after he completes his second term.
