First Lady Margret Kenyatta has been forced to hit the ground and campaign for her husband as the repeat presidential poll date nears.
Her husband, President Uhuru Kenyatta, is facing lethal Opposition kingpin Raila Odinga in a brusing match that is promising to be a battle of all mothers.
As things reach fever pitch, it seems Uhuru has unveiled the 'soft wing' of his campaign machinery.
THe soft spoken Mama Margret Kenyatta was first brought to this rounds murky politics during a Jubilee rally organised at the Uhuru Park.
"Jambo, wow! wow! I urge all Kenyans to vote in a peaceful manner," she said amid chants from thousands of Jubilee supporters who had thronged the historic grounds.
On September 15, Mama Margret visited West Pokot where he drummed up support for Uhuru.
During several stopovers in the area, the mother of three told residents to give their votes to Uhuru."I am requesting you to re-elect my husband," she said.
