According to Mrs Kenyatta, the fight against HIV is not won yet and more efforts must be made to secure adolescents and young people aged 15 - 24 who are at risk getting infection.

"We need to reflect on the progress we have made as communities, as a country and global village in addressing HIV and AIDS. We have been given a new opportunity to renew efforts that will ensure there are zero new infections ", she said.

She vowed to intensify campaigns to reduce stigma and raise awareness among women on prevention measures across the country.

"We need to stand united to address a concern that affects all of us because it will take the efforts of us all, mothers, fathers, teachers, communities, leaders, government, mentors, civil society and other stakeholders", she added.

The First Lady said Kenyans should be committed working together with renewed vigor and passion towards the realization of a HIV free generation.
