Thank you for embracing Beyond Zero and for trusting in me to deliver my promise. We have been successful because we have not worked alone - Uhuru Kenyatta has been with us and that is why today we can celebrate free maternity and free care for mothers and their babies for one year through NHIF.
The Jubilee Government cares and that is why they have invested in the installation of modern diagnostic equipment in every County so that patients seeking specialized medical help no longer need to travel long distances for dialysis and cancer and cardiac treatment.This has improved lives of millions of Kenyans because health ensures that we can get up and go to work everyday. This happened when you elected Uhuru Kenyatta as your President four years ago when he committed to do all he could to respond to the needs of all Kenyans no matter where they are. I assure you that our President has been attentive and responsive to our needs as women.
I turn now to another matter close to my heart. I want to talk a little bit something that we share a common passion, about our nation’s children, because our children are our future. As mothers, we must ensure that our children are retained in school so that their futures are secure; because we know the value of education. And I am here today to reinforce the message from Uhuru Kenyatta when he visited you last month. He declared that when you elect him on 8th August, he would ensure that his government invests in our children for 12 years through free education from standard one to form four beginning in January 2018. Through the Youth Fund, our young men and women can access loans to start businesses in order to participate in our counties development.
Let us together move forward to a future of hope, opportunity and transformation.
